Onward! 2020-2021

In-Person or Online, It’s Your Choice

The faculty at Loudoun School for Advanced Studies is committed to providing full time, in-person, daily classes for all of our students. We’ve made significant upgrades to our new facility to deliver the safest academic and social experiences possible. COVID-19 poses unique challenges for schools. We developed a plan to address and adapt to current conditions informed by CDC guidance, the Virginia Council of Private Education and the Governor’s Phase Guidance for Virginia Schools. The details of our plan are subject to change.

Preparation for 2020-2021

  • Installation of hospital grade UV-C air disinfection system

  • Video conferencing capability in all classrooms and meeting spaces

  • Single person restrooms throughout the school

  • Operable windows in all classrooms and common areas

Student & Faculty Safety

  • Daily health screenings

  • Face covering requirement for all teachers and students

  • Small classes and large open meeting areas

  • Improved sanitizing practices

Our plan for 2020-2021 increases safety and flexibility for students and teachers, so we can be in school, learning together; wearing masks and adhering to social distancing requirements. Our courses are offered in-person and online to provide maximum flexibility for students and teachers. Classrooms are now equipped with Zoom-compatible video conferencing equipment, so students and teachers will have the option to work from home.

The safety of our students, faculty and staff is our highest priority.

Stay safe and let’s keep learning.
