The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected students nationwide. Travel concerns reduce opportunities for high school students to visit college campuses and gain valuable internship experience. Like many other seniors, LSAS students were not able to attend as many college tours or career showcases as they would have liked. Virtual college visits and online resources are the new norm.

The LSAS Medical Club, one of many student driven clubs at LSAS, recognized this issue and we were eager to help. Our club revolves around two goals. We want students to learn more about careers in science and medicine and the education necessary to get there. We also want our members to take what they’ve learned and share it with the extended community. An online guide that substitutes for in-person medical career showcases sounded like a great idea. Our team spent the summer months compiling useful information and building an interactive resource that students can use to learn about many different medical and scientific professions.
