At LSAS, we believe exceptional students deserve an education that not only challenges them but also cultivates a lifelong love of learning.
Our robust, rigorous curriculum is flexible by design—students shape their paths and are eager to rise to the challenge. With mixed-grade classes and advanced courses in every subject area, every learner moves at their ideal level and pace.
Hallmarks of an LSAS education:
- Every class is taught at an honors level or above, and our program includes 20 Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
- We offer more than 30 courses each semester, so students enjoy a rich and dynamic program tailored to their interests and abilities.
- We also offer more than 55 Signature Classes, faculty-designed courses that encourage students to explore big ideas, make interdisciplinary connections, and dive deeply into subjects they won't find in a traditional curriculum. Examples include Geostrategy, Game Theory & Probability, When Things Go Horribly Wrong, Crime and Detective Fiction, Philosophy Wars, Rock Through the Ages, Storytelling & Art, Myth, Epic & Drama, and Wilderness Writing.
Our Signature Classes reflect what makes LSAS unique: curious teachers with the freedom to share their passions, and students who are inspired to ask questions, think critically and “geek out” while discovering new interests.
Our engaging approach prepares students for what’s next. LSAS students score in the 97th percentile on the SAT, and 90% of our high school graduates have been accepted to their first-choice college.
